We have named our company in honour of Jules Verne's romantic novel and one of our favorite films, Eric Rohmer's Le rayon vert.

This meteorological optical phenomena called the Green Ray sometimes occurs transiently around the moment of sunset or sunrise. When conditions are right, part of the Sun appears to suddenly change to bright green for about 1 or 2 seconds. 

 

Like Verne's and Rohmer's heroines, we make films from a burning desire to glimpse and share a flash of light, however mysterious and fleeting it may be.
